The main image shows a revolving animation of the movement of the Earth's crust.

As the learner moves their mouse around the image, various hotspots describe what is happening.

When the learner clicks on each hotspot, different animations are triggered, along with a detailed explanation.

Plate Tectonics

As part of the series on the natural world we created an interactive animation which describes plate tectonic movement.

By exploring the graphics, users trigger different animations and detailed explanations. Animations provide a wonderfully clear way to describe exactly what is going on under the earth’s crust.

The graphics created are packed full of information, allowing users to understand and visualise otherwise hard to imagine phenomena.
