We created simulations to help describe what the world might look like for people with different visual impairments.

The quiz feedback screen showing the results from an interaction where the learner must select the correct height for the light to be for reading.

Embedded tests added context by simulating different lighting techniques.

3D simulation to visualise how various techniques can be used to improve the space.

A factfile screen which provides further information on a clipboard about a range of elderly people with different eye conditions.

Fact files and embedded glossaries provide supportive information.

Lighting for the Elderly

We needed to quickly pull together a prototype to show how we could provide technical e-learning programmes which focus on lighting for the elderly.

Adapting print-based materials proved to be a great way of producing engaging online resources. Premises from the material allowed us to create lighting simulations, knowledge checks and 3D visualisations.

The resulting prototype module shows how efficiently existing technical material can be put into context via simulations and scenarios.
