In depth...
We approach each project individually, designing resources which are developed to meet the needs of the target audience. The examples below show a range of our approaches...
We recently designed and created this animation about Mobile Security for Goode Intelligence. The animation was shown at a conference for Android developers, held in London.

We have been commissioned to produce over 4 hours of e-learning materials for the Fire Protection Association. We are engaged in the full production process, from instructional design through to build.
We designed and created this HTML based interactive game to support a new BBC series about Electricity. You can view the game here.
Key features:
- Fully accessible interactive content that can be viewed across a full range of mobile devices.
- Hundreds of possible combinations make the game different each time you play it.
- The script logic pieces together different segments of text, to make it faster to script.
We designed and created an HTML based interactive game to support a new BBC series about Twin Studies. You can view the interactive here.
Key features:
- We created a layered system of feedback so that learners can investigate the areas which interest them most, or which is related to their score. This speeds up the journey through the content, making it more accessible to learners who don't have much time on their hands.
- We stored all of the decisions in a database, which can be used by academics to measure public perception, as well as to provide a comparison for learners.
- The technical framework uses a mixture of HTML and jquery to enable smooth interactions and a high level of accessibility.
- Can be accessed on a variety of platforms, including iphones and ipads.
- This game has attracted over 21,000 unique visitors through viral marketing alone.
We designed and created an interactive game to support a new BBC TV series about philosophy. The game asks learners to make moral judgments in response to several case studies. You can compare your own opinon with that of several philosophers and discover which school of thought you are closest to. Results are collected in a database to allow for comparisons with a public vote. Learners can share their score on Facebook or Twitter, which has created a viral effect amassing over 26,000 unique visitors in 6 months. You can play it here.
We were engaged to design a series of mock-ups and concepts for the re-design of the Google Apps website. The project is ongoing.
We launched a major re-design of a web portal which explores health concerns for teenagers, due for launch in January 2011. We went through a full design and consultation process with the client.

We designed and created a game to co-incide with the World Cup, for the Open University. Working with academics, we created a game that would use scientific evidence to define whether or not a player selection will influence the probability of winning a penalty shoot out. You can challenge a friend to play against you.
You can try the game here.
We developed this exciting new project for Arts Council funded organisation See a Voice. Click the play button above for a brief overview.
Providing consistent access training to customer-facing staff is a big challenge for theatres, where staff turnover in these roles is high, working patterns are varied, and training budgets are low. Initially we carried out a research project which investigated the feasibility of e-learning as a training method, producing a 20,000 word report and interactive prototype which was piloted to staff in theatre venues across the UK.
Phase 2 of the project culminated in the design and development of 3+ hours of learning materials (online and offline) as well as a customised Moodle interface.
The learning materials have been broken down into small modules which can be configured into different 'learning journeys' within Moodle, for different target groups.

The images above show some of the print resources we provided, either for on-the-job learning, refresher learning or offline activities.
We have recently completed a series of animations for Healthtalkonline, an award-winning charity website, led by experts at the University of Oxford.
Over 30 minutes of animated content was developed to visualise personal stories about obesity, which had been recorded as audio interviews. The animations are designed to help aid understanding and bring out key themes in the interviews. Initial pilot studies have shown that people are more receptive to the animated versions.
London based creative agency The Guild asked us to produce an interactive piece to go into a new website they were developing for the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
We developed a self-contained interactive piece which allows visitors to the website to discover how Roman mosaics were constructed, before eventually designing their own one, using historical designs. Users can select colours from either a Roman colour palette or a modern one - and paint colours into the patterns. You can send and save the images that have been created. The museum aims to create a gallery of images in the New Year.
You can access the project here.
We produced an animation that was used to help visualise how technology has been used to help improve processes. The animation was used at a global conference. The above sample is a condensed extract.
Moodle is an open source learning management system which can be configured in different ways to help organisations manage their learning materials - and learners. We are experienced at designing Moodle interfaces and learner journeys which are clear, clean and user-friendly.
For such a sophisticated tool, with so many available features, good interface design is absolutely essential. We believe in designing full end-to-end learning experiences.
